Already attended a middle school algae camp? This camp will build on past experiments and analysis!
Camp is hosted by the lab of Dr. Brad Elder of Doane College, who has established a small algal biology research group that develops algal research experiences. Doane is a nationally recognized college in Crete, Nebraska offering undergraduate and graduate programs. Campers will enjoy 300-acres of lush grounds, ponds, winding paths, historical buildings and new facilities.
Admire the swans at Doane Lake (from a distance because they can be moody) and experience the beautiful camps and vibrancy of student life.
Summer Camps: Essential Information
Open to current 10th-12th grade students.
Stay and dine in campus housing.
$150 for residential campers and $100 for commuters. Scholarships are available!
Enjoy field trips to Spring Creek Prairie and the UNL Challenge course, plus movie and game nights.
Space is limited to 15 campers.
Supervision and Safety
Minimum of 1:8 teacher/counselor to student ratio. Certified teachers and experienced, trained counselors.
