YNS summer camps for middle school and high school students increase students' mastery of science concepts and interest in science. The camps offer students either a 3-day or a week-long, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) experience including emphasis on self-reflection, communication, collaboration, inquiry, and science, technology, and society. Participants live in a campus dorm for one week, Sunday evening through Saturday morning and complete a variety of activities based on the National Science Education Standards. Activities are led by teams of experienced science
teachers, teachers in training, and University faculty and graduate students. A team of residential dorm counselors (8:1 ratio maximum) provide an enjoyable, and safe week for each student.
Camp staff live and dine in residence halls on the host campuses. Stipends are provided!
Nebraska EPSCoR is not seeking staff at this time. If you would like to be considered should spaces become available, contact Sarah Zulkoski-Benson directly.
